DANTE the newest revelation in Colombian rock invades the United States with music charged with contradictions and a wild side.

The band, which was discover by legendary producer Sylvia Massy, shall be promoting their latest album ”The Rorschach Manisfesto”

Miami, Fla.( January 17, 2012) DANTE, the most cutting-edge band that’s emerged from Colombia in recent years, arrives in the United States to demonstrate why they are considered the greatest rock revelation. With their captivating talent, these imaginative rock stars manage to entice living-legend and producer Sylvia Massy (Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jhonny Cash, System Of A Down, The Smashing Pumpkins). The band will be in the United States to promote their first album “THE RORSCHACH MANIFESTO” and showcase it to major Hispanic and Anglo media in February.

DANTE’s members include: KamiRayne (vocals), Alexx (rhythmic guitar), Tank! (lead guitar) and Gonzo (bass). The band breaks the mold for traditional Hispanic rock bands, with English lyrics that contradict themselves and performances that are full of surprises. Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, the members have all been friends since they were children and they managed to sustain the same dynamic unique to the Rorschach flair.

Bands such as Guns N’ Roses, Queen, Def Leppard, The Strokes, Blondie, Nirvana, The Cure and The Doors influenced the newly-crowned rock stars, who ensued their career playing their music on MySpace. The popular platform enabled the band to catch they eyes of NikkiSixx from MötleyCrüeand Del James (Axl Rose). It was through them that they met Sylvia Massy, who produced their first album in RadioStar Studio in California.

“THE RORSCHACH MANIFESTO,” like the psychological test, comprises 10 compositions that illustrate the band’s contrite vision, which they define as “your head risen and lowered, the intellectual and the visceral, the ‘macho,’ feminine creation and destruction, the trivial and the profound, the ridiculous and the sublime, the attractive and the repugnant and the beautiful and the grotesque.”

A Rorschach filled with hope, loss and lust.

La banda descubierta por la legendaria productora Sylvia Massy estará promocionando su disco debut“THE RORSCHACH MANIFESTO”.

Miami, Fla. (Enero 12, 2012) DANTE, la banda más vanguardista que ha dado Colombia en los últimos años llega a Estados Unidos a mostrar por qué ha sido calificada como la gran revelación del rock, captando la atención de verdaderas leyendas del género como la legendaria productora Sylvia Massy (Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jhonny Cash, System Of A Down, The Smashing Pumpkins). Con su primer disco “THE RORSCHACH MANIFESTO” bajo el brazo, estarán promocionándose en los principales medios tanto hispanos como anglo durante el mes de enero.

DANTE está integrada por KamiRayne (voces), Alexx (guitarra rítmica), Tank! (guitarra líder), y Gonzo (bajo), quienes rompen el molde de bandas hispanas de rock, con líricas que son un mundo de constrastes, expuestas en inglés y con presentaciones que son siempre una caja de Pandora. Todos, oriundos de Bogotá, amigos desde que eran niños y con la misma manera de mirarse a sí mismos y a otros, como una gran mancha Rorschach.

Con sus integrantes influenciados por bandas como Guns N’ Roses, Queen, Def Leppard, The Strokes, Blondie, Nirvana, The Cure, The Doors, en sus inicios amateur, DANTE difundió su música a través de MySpace. Esta plataforma los puso ante los ojos de NikkiSixx de MötleyCrüe y Del James (Axl Rose). A través de ellos, accedieron a Sylvia Massy,  quien produjo el primer álbum de la agrupación en sus estudios RadioStar de California. 

“THE RORSCHACH MANIFESTO” tal como el test sicológico, es un compuesto de 10 temas escritos que dibujan la visión de contrastes de sus integrantes, definida por ellos como “la frente alta y la baja, lo intellectual y lo visceral, el macho, la creación femenina, y la destrucción, lo trivial y lo profundo, lo ridículo y lo sublime, lo atractivo y lo repugnante, lo hermoso y lo grotesco”. Un Rorschach de la esperanza, la pérdida y la lujuria.
